19 weeks!

Ok, so I realize the bottom shots are a little silly, but I love these! Babycenter.com is awesome.

How your baby's growing:
Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces, and he measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the length of a small zucchini. His arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of his body now. His kidneys continue to make urine, and the hair on his scalp is sprouting. This is a crucial time for sensory development: Your baby's brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. If your baby is a girl, she has an astonishing 6 million eggs in her ovaries. They'll dwindle to fewer than two million by the time she's born.

I love babycenter too, I'm hooked. Thank you for reminding me to put Wilder's birthday letter in his book. You are good with thinking of things like that.

i can't believe you're 19 weeks already! Are you feeling movement yet?

Well, about the cloth diapers...I thought about it the first time with Wilder but never did it. With everything I've learned and how I've changed this year (i'm planning on elaborating soon in a blog post) my convictions are stronger about why to use them. Being: 1. they're better for the environment - i hate throwing away diapers in the trash. 2. More comfy (happy butt happy baby!) & better for babies skin - less chemicals. 3. And hopefully more cost effecient. They're just so expensive to buy up front but you will save money in the long run. (especially if you have more than one). I'm registering for fuzzi bunz on kellyscloset.com. I have two samples and I love 'em. I can see how the toilet sprayer would be a MUST!!

Have you heard of Mothering Magazine? I think you'd love it. It caters to natural family living. There is a website too: www.mothering.com

Where do the 4 million eggs go? I love how they compare the fetus to fruits and veggies. :)

Oh and I just read Shelly's comments. Lauren wants to try the cloth diapers and they have all sorts of things now that make them easier than when our parents used them. Check out all the stuff on Babies R Us if you haven't already. Then I will have 2 friends that can give me advice if we decide to go that route one day! It seems like it would be a lot cheaper and enviro-friendly.
