Walt and I and sister Jenny and her husband Mike and 2 year old Ethan all went to the ranch this weekend for their anniversary. We had so much fun! Ethan got to ride in a Kayak with his dad, drive the ski boat with Uncle Walt (and honk the horn), and he caught his first, second, and third fish with his new SuperMan fishing pole from Uncle Walt (complete with SuperMan stickers.)
His Daddy also caught the record 13" fish for the weekend with that itty bitty SuperMan fishing pole! Ethan was a little bit scared of that fish. (No pic, of course!)
We also "introduced" him to his little baby girl cousin inside Aunt Sauney's tummy. He wanted to touch her, and had to pull up my shirt to touch my belly. Then he peered ever so intently at my belly button and said, "Hi baby girl!" So cute.

Your baby is more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound. His skin is red and wrinkled. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare him for breathing. He can swallow, but he normally won't pass his first stool (called meconium) until after birth. Loud noises heard often in utero — such as your dog barking or the roar of a vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze your baby when he hears them outside the womb.

Hi. Alright, I have a whole change of direction since I last talked to you. I am seriously wanting and considering a vaginal birth now. I've been doing a lot of research and apparently the chances of a uterus rupture is only 1%. So I'm opening a whole new can of worms here at 33 weeks. Why the Lord is stirring this now I'll never know...a little more forsight may have been nice! I am working on getting a different doctor because mine can't perform VBAC's. Crazy!! Pray for me!! Hi Saun. Diaper dilema huh, it's hard figuring it out isn't it! I chose fuzzi bunz. i feel like they fit better but they're more expensive in the beginning because you have to buy more in order to get 3 different sizes. my friend jen holbert has the bumgenious. their baby was only 5 pounds and barely fits premie clothes so it will be a few months before he can even wear 'em! and I still can't imagine Wilder fitting into that "one size" now. good luck! and...good luck getting anyone to buy them for you. nobody wants to buy diapers, they'd rather pick out cute clothes. that's just the way it goes.
