"God has a purpose in our suffering."
"God has a plan through our pain."
Twice this week, from two different sources, have I heard these words, and they echo with truth, even though that truth is painful to swallow. Like a child hearing "This is for your own good" as he faces the punishment and pain to come, I don't like these words. In these words is the assurance that we will face pain, and it will not be fun, and like it or not, we're going to have to go through it. But there is also the promise that we won't be going through it alone. And there is a hope that lies hidden somewhere in the folds of the blindcloth that now covers my eyes. Though I may not see through to the purpose, it's there. Without that, this month would stack on the last, and ahead of us, only God knows how many more, and all I see is futility, and infertility, and sadness, and loss.
But somewhere in this pain there will be a purpose. God, please let it be good! I need to see the light in the land of the living. I need to see it all work for good for those who love you. I need that.

It sounds like it's a hard day, I just want you to know I love you. My heart hurts to hear your sorrow. . . I long to hear joy in your voice again and will not cease praying for your desires until our Creator reveals exactly what that plan is. I'm so proud of you Saundra for knowing in your head, if not yet in your heart, that God is in control & will use all of this for good. Like I said before, I love you!~Wendy.
