Christmas Dr. Party & 37 weeks!

Last night we went to a Christmas party with Dr. Mike and sister Jenny. It was fun, in that awkward we know no one sort of way. I laughed too hard and coughed too hard and jacked something in my rib cage. You never think about how your ribs are connected to your spine until one of them decides it wants to do it's own thing. Pain. Bad pain. I know it's probably exacerbated by this little girl pushing my ribs to accomodate her room, and I'm sure she's plenty cramped, so who am I to complain?

Walt and I set up a photo in front of the fireplace, to be posted later, when I have the camera easily accessible (and don't have to get up off the couch right now.)

And we are officially 37 weeks as of Friday! This means she is considered full term if she is born from here on out. JOY!!

Today Walt put together the stroller and was quite impressed with it, and the matching carseat. He had made fun of me and my insane amount of research into these items, but now he is very, very impressed with my selection. I hope baby girl will like them too!

Daddy-to-be is also working on finishing the last closet in the babies room. This is going to be an amazing closet, full of storage and all kinds of good nooks and crannies.

And yesterday he even bought a Christmas tree for us. It's a live tree, about three feet tall. We put a ribbon on top for festivity sake. And two boxes of chocolates that we got from one of his sub contractors. This makes up the bulk of our Christmas decor this year. I'm sad about my lack of holiday decor, but I just couldn't get my mind around getting more stuff out of the attic when we were stepping over and around stuff getting the babies room done. So, we now have a little tree. And a Christmas cactus in the babies room that Walt surprised me with. It has one, solitary, pink little flower. I love it.

Yeah for making it this far! Any day now! I can't wait to meet her. I'm glad you did all that reading. Between you and Lo, I won't have to research anything, I will just ask you two!

Hi Saundra. I'm so glad you and the little girl have made it! (if you're still pregnant!). Um, encouraging words...remember pain is progress, each contraction means she is getting closer to being born so try to welcome them. Pray against fear, it makes you tense and makes the pain worse. When you get to the point that you feel like you can't go on you're almost there so don't give up! And...say Jesus between contractions and visualize Him holding your hand. I'll be praying for you, I can't wait to hear and meet your little girl. Love ya!
