house plans

I love looking at house plans. I've finally decided I agree with Walt about a one-story house. I love the two story look, and lofts, and all the fun nooks and crannies of having two stories, but I've seen my sister panic about her two year old falling down the stairs and realized I don't like climbing them.

I like this one, but I'd lose the breakfast room and make it my "nice" room...and lose the basement stairs (and the basement) and make the kitchen opened up to the living / dining room.

Then there is this guy...I love his website, and his house plans are so cool. Unfortunately, they're mostly 2 story. Still, very cool. He subscribes to the "not so big" house theory.
